VCU Certificate in Online Teaching

Learn With VSTE

VSTE is currently organizing a cohort for Fall 2015. If you are interested, read the information on this page and then complete the interest form below.

We held an informational webinar on Tuesday, April 1, 2014, at 8 PM. Monty Jones from VCU will be on hand to provide an overview and answer any questions you might have. You can view the archive here.

As schools increase the availability of online courses, teachers are facing the challenge of learning how to teach in this new format. VSTE is partnering with Virginia Commonwealth University to help you meet this challenge. You can join a cohort of educators working on the Certificate in Online Teaching. This two-year, 17-credit certificate will ensure that you are prepared to meet the demands of online education.

Why Join the VSTE Cohort?

As part of the VSTE cohort, you’ll have a chance to learn, grow and share with educators across the state as you work on the certificate. VSTE will host both synchronous and asynchronous events for cohort members to help them better connect with each other as they complete their course work.

And, you’ll save money…by joining the VSTE cohort, you save nearly 30% on the regular VCU tuition. VSTE will charge a small processing fee.

We are currently organizing a cohort for Fall 2015. You can learn more about the certificate at VCU’s website. (This link opens in a new tab or window.)
