In early May, 2008, I interviewed Laura Kelly, an ITRT from Franklin County Schools in Virginia. We discuss the county’s use of Promethean brand interactive white boards, current instructional technology initiatives in the county, and Laura’s interest in taking students on virtual field trips.

At this year’s VSTE Conference held in Roanoke, I had the opportunity to meet with Victor Gosnell of Bedford County, Virginia, and talk about a number of things.Victor is the 2007 recipient of the Virginia Department of Education’s Educational Technology Leadership Award. We talk about some of his favorite “techno tools and toys” in this interview, as well as his thoughts on Internet filtering in schools. Victor currently serves as the Director of Technology and Media for Bedford’s public schools.

At the end of 2007, I had the opportunity to interview a Goochland, Virginia parent, Mr. Bert Hardy. Mr. Hardy is Vice President of IT, and the CIO of S&K Famous Brands, headquartered in Richmond, Virginia. I interviewed Mr. Hardy about the use of technology in business and his ideas about the role of technology in education.
