The VSTE Hero Award is recognition of service to VSTE and may involve more than one person in any given year. A Hero must be a VSTE member. This person has gone above and beyond the call of duty in providing service to the organization and its members. The award consists of an inscribed Jefferson Cup, recognition at the Society’s annual conference, a press release to a local paper, and a letter to an appropriate supervisor. Nominations are to be elicited from the membership but voted upon by the Board of Directors. A nomination should consist of a letter from another member, outlining the outstanding contribution of the nominee.
