Chromebooks are affordable devices for schools to use for google docs, accessing an LMS like canvas, and preparing and taking standardized tests. Web based virtual worlds like 3dWebWorldz (www.3dWebWorldz.com) can allow students to go on virtual field trips to Mars to simulate the JPL mission that will be launched in July of 2020 to collect rock samples in the Jezero Crater. Students can collect virtual 3d gps data and create topographic profiles to analyze the geologic history of the crater.
More information and activities for students are available on the google doc at: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1y4fSnuLHxQJb4E3pRlAv-LtJ7Tp-yqF_li4QrQxbMg0/edit?usp=sharing
