Online Educational Technology Programs

Expand your skills in instructional design and learn to evaluate the impact of technology on learning. The educational technology programs offered online through Penn State World Campus, in collaboration with the College of Education, can help you incorporate the use of technology and the internet to more effectively engage learners and improve the quality of their learning experiences. Courses are taught by the same faculty who teach in residence. The Education programs have been consistently ranked in the top 10 by U.S. News & World Report. Choose from the following programs:

* Master of Education in Learning, Design, and Technology.
* Graduate Certificates in e-Learning Design; Educational Technology Integration; Teaching and Learning Online in K–12 Settings.

Traveling Exhibit of Norman Rockwell’s Depiction of the “Four Freedoms”

Enduring Ideas: Rockwell, Roosevelt & the Four Freedoms is the first comprehensive touring exhibition devoted to Norman Rockwell’s iconic depictions of Franklin Delano Roosevelt’s Four Freedoms: Freedom of Speech, Freedom of Worship, Freedom from Want, and Freedom from Fear.

Project Mapping Great Women in History

The SPARK Movement—a movement by and for girls aged 13–22—is aiming to put women on the map. The “Women on the Map” project works inside Google’s freeField Trip app to pinpoint locations connected to great women from history.

Expedition Atlantis, an iPad app from Robomatter, presents mobile robot mathproblems in a scaffolded and contextualized manner to motivate students to use mathematics rather than “guess and check” their way through robot programming.

VSTE PLN Holiday Store

The VSTE VE PLN Holiday Store Front building contest is well under way. 17 of 18 windows have been claimed and a few seem to be finished or nearly finished.

This is a GREAT time for new Second Life users, or those who have been gone for a while, to come in and see what's here on VSTE Island.

We can help you get accustomed to SL. Email K4sons@gmail.com to set up a time to meet and learn some basic SL skills if you'd like or simply do the tutorials at the Rockcliffe University Consortium's Gateway, or both!

Voting for best Holiday Windows is December 17th at 8 PM EST.

Get E-rate Great: FREE VDOE E-Rate Training for 2019 (Registration is Now Closed)

The Virginia Department of Education is conducting E-rate training workshops in two different locations in the state. The dates and times of these workshops are listed below. Please note that these are one day and a half training sessions.
