Outreach

Purpose

The purpose of the Outreach Committee is to promote the benefits of membership in VSTE to potential members and create, implement, and support membership programs and new opportunities to involve, engage, and retain active society members.  The VSTE Outreach Committee has also committed itself to promoting VSTE through social media, specifically through Twitter. The Outreach Committee fits into the mission of VSTE by promoting professional development opportunities and engaging its members in activities that unite them and influence them to be innovators in the field of educational technology.

• Support VSTE member from across the state
• work with other VSTE committees on programs that support our membership
• work with Membership Committee and Executive Director in implementing new membership application and portal

  • Any VSTE member is eligible to join and work on a VSTE Committee.  If you are interesting in developing projects and events that promote VSTE and our members, please contact our committee chairperson.  Chairperson - Fara T. Faust (farafaust@vste.org)
• Celebrate Virginia Educators - Join a Campfire Chat!
  • The Outreach Committee will be hosting 4 regional Campfire Chats during the month of May to celebrate VA educators.  Campfire Chats are open to all VA educators (K-12).  More details, dates and times will be posted soon.
